About Us
I I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but I have family all over the world and I have lived all over the world! Most of my family resides in Samoa, a small island in the south pacific near Hawaii. I love to visit them whenever possible, but I am always excited to explore new places as well. I feel like I have learned so much from each new country I have visited and I’m so thankful for all the wonderful experiences I have had abroad.
I have an amazing one and a half year old daughter who joined our family through adoption. I am so honored to have an open adoption with her first family and would love to have an equally open adoption with another child.
Pele, whose name means beloved in Samoan, is full of personality; she is silly, confident, cheeky and just too lovable! She is clever and loves to dance, talk, and eat! Pele is going to a Spanish immersion daycare in hopes that knowing Spanish will help her travel the world and interact with more people in an authentic way!
I love being a kindergarten teacher and hope that one day my children will join me at my school! Since my daughter joined our family, I am even more appreciative of the frequent breaks I get as a teacher. I love having more time to share with her and watch her grow! I’m so glad I chose this profession where I am surrounded by the curiosity, kindness, and genuineness of children every day. I am constantly reminded of the gift of childhood and re-energized by their joy and laughter.
I have one sister, and she and her family live close by. We see each other regularly and are always there for each
other. My own close relationship with my sister has also encouraged me to adopt again, and I’m hopeful my daughter will experience the sibling relationship we have; to grow up together, make memories sharing inside jokes and always having a shoulder to lean on.
